Don't fall for UMNO's anti-DAP diatribe, says PAS

PAS vice president Mahfuz Omar said UMNO's fear mongering among the Malays about DAP was just a ploy to remain in power.

Mahfuz (pic) said while the propaganda that DAP was trying to working hard to erase Malay rights echoed in the just-concluded UMNO general assembly, various scandals continued to surface.

"Don't come to a point where we (Malays) become fearful of DAP, and then RM250 million disappears from National Feedlot Corporation. Afraid of DAP, RM52 billion worth of Bumiputera shares shrinks to RM2 billion, afraid of DAP, RM1.8 billion given to (former MAS CEO) Tajuddin Ramli goes missing, afraid of DAP, RM32 billion vanishes from Hardcore Poverty Development programme (PPRT),” Mahfuz told a press conference today.

Mahfuz said the various accusations by UMNO against DAP stemmed from the former's insecurity over their own shortcomings and blunders.

“At the same time they continue to amass wealth by looting national wealth,” said the Pokok Sena member of parliament.

He said UMNO's insecurity was laid bare when at its party assembly, it would not open the floor for members to question its leaders’ integrity.
