UK's The Guardian says guilty verdict against Anwar Ibrahim will hurt Malaysia's reputation

Influential British newspaper The Guardian says Anwar Ibrahim will likely be handed a guilty verdict in the Sodomy II trial, and warned that it will severely hurt Malaysia’s reputation in terms of democracy.

In a hard-hitting column by Assistant Editor Simon Tidall, said the only person to blame should this happen is Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak. Tidall warned that “the portents do not look good” for Anwar, as the case winds to a close.

Plying scathing criticism over what he sees as Najib's “authoritarian tendencies” and “blatant scare-mongering”, the foreign affairs columnist urged Malaysia's Western allies to “take a closer look at their friend”.

“Malaysia is valued as a trading partner, counter-proliferation collaborator, and non-combatant member of the Afghanistan coalition. But the government's human rights record and democratic practices merit closer scrutiny...

“As Anwar's ordeal approaches an ugly climax, it seems increasingly unlikely that these benchmarks will be met. The next question is: what will Malaysians and their friends do about it?”

According to Tidall, the sodomy charges, which were levelled soon after Pakatan Rakyat took over five states in the 2008 general election, “hardly seems coincidental”. “As the charismatic leader of the opposition coalition, Anwar represents the biggest challenge to (Najib's) continuing ascendancy,” he says.

Describing the Prime Minister as someone “born to power” and “accustomed to wielding it”, Tidall argued that Najib's flat rejection of a conspiracy against Anwar was suspect, considering the latter's 1998 sodomy charge. “The recycling of sodomy accusations... suggests a lack of originality characteristic of the Prime Minister,” Tidall says.

‘Najib becoming paranoid’

The Assistant Editor also opined that the timing of the impending verdict, alongside the lead-up to the 13th general election, also lends credence to the conspiracy theory.“Najib gives every appearance of preparing for snap polls on the assumption that Anwar will be out of the way and the opposition (will be) decapitated,” he said.

Adding to this, he said, is the recently-passed Peaceful Assembly Bill, which Tidall sees as a sign that Najib is not taking any chances.

Coming on the tails of the Bersih 2.0 rally in July, he said that the Bill “reneged on shaky, post-July promises of civil rights reforms” and shows that Najib is succumbing to “paranoia”.

“Now Najib is taking no chances as his lieutenants warn that Anwar is fomenting an Arab Spring-style uprising – a so-called ’hibiscus revolution’... ,” writes Tidall.

“But... Khairy Jamaluddin, UMNO's Youth-wing leader, articulated Najib's paranoia last month when he accused Anwar's coalition of ‘trying hard to manufacture panic and disorder’ by promoting street rallies instead of elections.”

Anwar has been charged with sodomising his then aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan on June 26, 2008. Following submissions earlier this week, the defence is due to reply tomorrow to points made by the prosecution. Justice Mohamad Zabidin Mohd Diah will then set a date for the verdict.

Umno vultures, including Raja Nong Chik, start to circle over Shahrizat

Slowly but surely, Umno vultures have begun circling over Women's chief Shahrizat Jalil and the chances are high she will be 'persuaded' to resign soon after failing to quell the fire of the RM250 million NFC financial debacle.

In the beginning, Umno leaders led by Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin had launched a spirited although rather foolish bid to defend her from corruption allegations after rival party PKR revealed that her family - which had been awarded the project - had spent millions of public money to buy 2 super-plush condos in Bangsar, a high-end Mercedes CLS350 CGI, residential land worth more than RM 3million in Putrajaya, gave million ringgit discounts to family-controlled firms and so on.

Now quietly, a queue has formed with some anonymously calling for her to resign from her party and government posts so as not to plunge Umno into further disrepute. There are also lawmakers who have openly called for her to quit, and one of these is Kinabatangan MP Bung Mokhtar Radin, while FT Minister Raja Nong Chik is the latest to call on the party leadership to decide Shahrizat's fate, rather than to allow her to cling on.

“Let the top leadership decide on her position,” Nong Chik told the press on Tuesday, however, stressing that investigations should be completed first.

Umno's candidacy in Lembah Pantai as good as gone

The FT minister is seen as being affected by Shahrizat's fall from grace as he was slated to take on PKR's Nurul Izzah Anwar in Lembah Pantai, which had been Shahrizat's stronghold until she lost the seat in the 2008 general elections.

Pundits say Nong Chik's chances against Nurul will be very much diminished if Shahrizat were to stay on, without any 'accounting' to the public for NFC.

"There is a huge groundswell of anger towards Shahrizat mainly because she and Najib and the whole gang tried to pretend nothing was wrong when it was so clearly the opposite. It was the stupidest response Umno could have made towards an issue like this especially when the Corruption Perception Index plunged," an Umno watcher told Malaysia Chronicle.

"They can try to save face but is such vanity worth it? Better that they had distanced themselves from her at the beginning until proven she was innocent. But they all had a stake in it, in the sense that Khairy was instrumental in granting the NFC project to her family, Muhyiddin Yassin was the Agriculture minister who approved the deal and Najib was the deputy prime minister overseeing the matter at that time."

Most corrupt record under Najib

He was referring to the Transparency International's Corruption Perception Index, where Malaysia had stood at 37th spot in 2003. The latest report issued last week showed Malaysia was now 60th, the worst since the index began, and after three consecutive years of falls.

Prime Minister Najib Razak, who took over from Abdullah Badawi in 2009, has ignored the results, but calls are growing for him to show some responsibility over the plunge which will surely lower Malaysia's attraction as an investment destination.

"It is most shocking and outrageous that up to now, neither the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak nor the Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has responded to the worst international report card for Malaysia in the 32-month Najib premiership," DAP adviser and MP for Ipoh Timur Lim Kit Siang said in a statement..

"In fact, not a single UMNO leader or delegate at the UMNO General Assembly breathed a word of concern about corruption in general or TI CPI 2011 in particular – apart from giving “blank cheque” support to Wanita UMNO leader and Minister for Women, Family and Community Development Datuk Seri Shahrizat Jalil in her embroilment in the RM300 million “CattleGate Cow Condo” scandal!"

Those who spoke up and those who kept quiet

Anonymously, some women delegates have voiced their dissatisfaction at the 'show' put up by Shahrizat's supporters. Her husband and children were granted the project in 2006 and Shahrizat's defence has been that she was not involved in NFC. It was her family, she said.

It is also telling that the police, long accused of being under Umno's thumb, have interviewed her family but not her, and yet have been quick to say that investigations do not show 'elements' of criminal breach of trust, although they were deafeningly silent on abuse of power and ultra vires decisions.

"Who knows him from Adam?” an Umno delegate was reported as having told the Malaysian Insider in reference to Shahrizat's husband, Salleh Ismail, who was granted the RM250 million NFC cattle-breeding project.

“Come on, they understand. It is your husband, so what do you mean it has nothing to do with you? If you were not a minister do you think your husband would have gotten the project?"

On Monday, Bung had again public called for Shahrizat to step down.

“If there are even little cracks within Umno, it can cripple and destabilise the party in the elections. Whether or not this move of mine is seen as part of a vested interest, it is up to people to judge,” Bung Mokhtar had said.

“I do not expect my views to be agreed upon by all in my party. Everyone has differing views, so there will be a response, but I needed to say what has not been said."

Those who have kept mum on the issue include BN components MCA, Gerakan, MIC, ultra Malay NGO Perkasa, who fear antagonising Umno should they speak up. But by keeping silent, Malaysia will not be able to rid itself of its greatest scourge, which is corruption, said pundits.

The million-ringgit KJ poser that no one cares about: Umno has wasted its last chance

I was hanging around Putra World Center the last few days just to get a glimpse of our Umno ultra Malays who came from all parts of the country, although an Umno man in KL is just like an Umno man from Terengganu. Only difference might be, they speak a bit differently but the mannerism, arrogance, and dressing is almost the same. You can spot an Umno man from a distance.

Many of them could be seen hanging around Starbucks, McDonalds, Pan Pacific's, and Sunway Putra Hotel Lounge with their silk shirts, smart phones and ipads. Out of curiosity I sat a bit close to a group at Starbucks, and heard them talking. Nothing to shout about it was just the ususal coffee-corner talk.

The 'one-million' dollar question

Then suddenly, one smart alec brought out the topic of Khairy Jamaluddin, the controversial Youth chief. Immediately, I was all ears, "macam mana bro chief ada chance tak untuk bertanding pilihanraya nanti?"

In reply, one straight-faced guy said "Zero man! Tengok lah macam mana Don sudah support Najib 100%, takan lah Najib nak kecewekan dia."

Here I was confused who is the Don, then it dawned on me who else but former premier Mahathir Mohamad. Yes, just a few days ago he was indirectly hammering Prime Minister Najib Razak and then just a day ago he was all praises for Najib.

So from their tone, I guessed they were confirming among themselves that Najib might have struck a deal with Mahathir. These guys were definitely from Pemuda Umno.

Must be able to offer what the people want

But deal or no deal, I don't care who Umno puts on the pedestal. It will not matter to me or the electorate because we cannot support a corrupted and racist government like BN and Umno, and the just concluded Umno General Assembly is proof of it. Right from the Umno president down to all the delegates who took the stand, almost all spewed comments that were purely racist in sentiment and intent.

What are we to expect from them in the future? How will they reform the country when they can't reform themselves, no way! The good life they have enjoyed so far, mostly from ill-gotten gains, is just too good to lose. Why should they reform when they feel it is their birth right to rule? Even when it is proven there are many corrupt people among their ranks with scandals that would make ordinary people squirm and vomit, they would not care. Why bother with what the 'rakyat' or people want when they are needed only once in five years?

The rakyat to them are stupid people who will fall for measly crumbs thrown to them. To them the rakyat is a tool to manipulate according to their whims and fancies. Take the great 1Malaysia plan for example, when we heard the originator Najib speak in the Assembly, did he remember his own call for inclusiveness, which is the core of 1 Malaysia, in his speech?

This was the controversial policy that Najib initiated through APCO. The proverb "When in Rome do as the Romans do" is now what Najib is practising. If he is with a Chinese or Indian crowd, it is 1Malaysia throughout his speech. But with a Malay crowd, he becomes a clown. Was he not behaving like a clown when he was venting his anger on Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim in his speech?

No doublespeak, please

In this aspect, Muhiyiddin is better. At least he sticks honestly to his roots" I'm Malay first and Malaysian second" and this allows us to conclude our stand against him. There is no place for a racist PM in Malaysia, this is a multiracial country and the constitution stipulates it. But neither is there room for a hypocritical and deceitful PM in Malaysia who says one thing today and U-turns the next day.

Did at any one time, the Umno leaders or delegates who represent the 3 million-odd membership talk of how they are going to change and reform so that they will be a better and healthier party for the people, especially the Malays? The answer was NO! All they did was give utmost attention to Anwar and DAP-bashing.

The fear of Pakatan has got them all feverish and in hallucination mode, so much so they do not know what they were blabbering about. Why bash the Chinese and DAP? Are they basing the Chinese because DAP is Chinese-based?

Between MCA-Chinese, Gerakan-Chinese and DAP-Chinese

If they dislike the Chinese so much, why do they want to collaborate with the Chinese from MCA and Gerakan, or are the Chinese in MCA and Gerakan from a different planet. Perhaps these are 'acceptable' Chinese or 1Malaysia Chinese or as some say Ali-Baba Chinese, is that it?

This is the burning question the leaders in Umno have failed in making clear to the Malays, especially the ordinary folk who do not understand why the need for this segregation. Why does Umno accept MCA and Gerakan Chinese but reject DAP Chinese?

As the largest ruling party, Umno has a responsiblity to the people - from the Dayaks in Sarawak to the Kadazan in Sabah, the Negrito-Jakun in Cameron Highlands and the Punjabi from Port Klang not to mention all the other races.

All are Malaysians. When you start to bash one race then you are a racist. There is simply no place for a racist in this world, only your own backyard will accept you.

Umno has already lost the hearts and minds of the people

Umno has to all intents and purposes already lost big time even before the GE-13 is called. Even the Malays are forsaking it. The Umno AGM will go down on record as being the ' straw that broke the camel's back '.

They had all the opportunity to let the rakyat know that they will reform for a better Malaysia. Yet, they chose otherwise and thereby lost the hearts and minds of the people. The public has seen through Umno's batik curtain - and it is weak and unintelligent.

Would the people gamble their future and those of their children on this batch of Umno leaders - weak, pampered, greedy and racist as they are?

PKR no pushover in Sarawak

The April 16 Sarawak election proved that despite Umno maligning Anwar Ibrahim, PKR still made 'inroads into Dayak ground'.

COMMENT

There’s a view that PKR cannot win any parliamentary seats in Sarawak and that all embattled Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) seats will go to DAP.

Allow me to cite one observation passed to me by the Oracle of Syed Putera, who incidentally is the alter ego of former economic adviser Daim Zainuddin.

You can almost say that whatever the Oracle spews is what Daim thinks.

Recalling the April 16 Sarawak state election, the Oracle said the 100 percent victory by Taib Mahmud’s Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) wasn’t unexpected. PBB won all 35 seats it contested in the state election unlike Umno (in 2008 polls).

But the Oracle was more concerned about the victory by PKR in the Sarawak state election.

He said that Anwar Ibrahim (PKR de facto leader) with all the character assassinations carried out on a daily basis, had managed to assist Sarawak PKR chairman Baru Bian get three seats!

What do the wins represent?

Unless Umno people are sleeping or are busy shashaying in the lobby of Concorde Hotel and cockily holding fort in the coffee house, the wins tell us that the OPPOSITION CAN WIN.

PKR made inroads into Dayak grounds.

Then came the news about the sacking of one MP from the Sarawak Barisan Nasional coalition – Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party’s (SPDP) Dr Tiki Lafe from Mas Gading. SPDP has four parliamentary seats.

The sacking shows there is dissent within the SPDP and may result in election losses.

With the SUPP gone, PBB is banking on SPDP and PRS which has six seats.

Both SPDP and PRS have now 10 seats between them but a number of these will fall to PKR, predicts the Oracle.

The Oracle adds that the opposition has already 16 seats in the bag from Sarawak. And that’s just a precursor of worse things to come.

UMNO Hardliners versus Najib and UMNO

Fellow columnist and UMNO Youth Chief Khairy Jamaluddin reportedly said that UMNO is "as more progressive and liberal now". If this is truly the new image of UMNO, the party may have changed while nobody was looking.

Nevertheless, I am pleased to see Khairy urging UMNO to be "more progressive and liberal". Even he has a lot of ctaching up to do before he can come to the level of Deputy Minister of Higher Education Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah (right), I do hope he succeeds. UMNO needs more progressive leaders.

In the ranks of the UMNO Supreme Council members, Saifuddin has been quite consistent in calling for change in UMNO. He has made some very good suggestions and persisted even when party members went against him. I have lost count of how many times he has become the target of UMNO's cyber troopers.

Some of Saifuddin's remarks, especially of late, have been remarkably forthright. In a recent interview, he said that there are three groups in UMNO. The first always believes in the need for change and does not wait for the Prime Minister to chart the course. The second also wants change but its commitment depends on what the Prime Minister says. The third does not any major change because it is happy with the status quo.

According to the Deputy Minister, the third group is "unfortunately the biggest" in UMNO today. It comprises what he calls the "hardliners". He is right. And these "hardliners" are actually Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's biggest enemies in UMNO.

As an aside, let me suggest that the progressives in UMNO look at the experience of PAS. The PAS progressives have more or less successfully taken over many senior positions and they are now playing a key role in shaping policies in the Islamic party. They started their work almost a decade ago, if not even earlier and the fruits of their labour are ready for the picking only now. Their journey to bring about change was long and arduous with some of them having to face repeated accusations of being disloyal to the "original struggle". To follow in PAS's footsteps, the progressives in UMNO must ensure that they have the required stamina and commitment.

Coming back to UMNO, Najib has been making the right moves since the beginning of his premiership (April, 2009). The 1Malaysia slogan was, and is, a good idea.I wish the country did not need to be reminded that this land belongs to every Malaysian regardless of his race or religion. But since some people are so adept at stirring divisive sentiments, the slogan is a much-needed reminder.

The ideas in the New Economic Model, especially those in the first part that Najib launched in March 2010, were refreshing. After decades of massive state intervention in the economy with numerous unintended consequences having a Prime Minister who talks about liberalisation brings a breath of fresh air.

Similarly, after decades of living under repressive laws, many civil liberties activists were excited to hear Najib announcing major reforms on the eve of Malaysia Day (June 15) this year. They had been campaigning against laws like the Internal Security Act(ISA) and curbs on our freedom for so long that the historic speech by Najib brought on euphoric response. But UMNO hardliners seem bent on defeating these moves. Or, at least, the "hardliner mentality" is certainly putting major obstacles in his path towards transformation.

While the Prime Minister and UMNO President talked about national unity, some top UMNO leaders continued to play the race and religion cards in the run up to and during the recent UMNO General Assembly. The usual scare stories were repeated, accusing non-Malays, particularly those in DAP, of wanting to remove our constitutional monarchy, destroy Islam and wreck the Malay language. All were clearly designed to create a "them versus us" environment in the country.

While Najib talked about making Malaysia a competitive and liberal economy, groups of vocal UMNO members joined forces under the guise of various NGOs to derail his plans.

Perhaps their biggest success was in forcing Najib to create institutions that were not stated in his original economic transformation agenda. Two examples come to mind--Teraju and the bumiputera unit in MRT Corp--both of which further entrench illiberal affirmative action in our economy.

And even though Najib sounded quite radical when announcing his plan for legal reform, the radicalism clearly did not trickle down to his party machinery. The country is now hearing many UMNO leaders defending unnecessary restrictions o our fundamental liberties in the Peaceful Assembly Bill passed by Dewan Rakyat last week.

It appears that there is now a big gap between Najib and UMNO. He may be articulating some progressive ideas, but UMNO as a party is refusing to follow his lead. Najib and UMNO are becoming two distinct contesting parties. The contest between Najib and UMNO is an exciting one to observe and I certainly hope that Najib will win.

Facing GE-13: Najib's New Faces and New Spirit post 2011 UMNO General Assembly

UMNO and Barisan Nasional leader Najib Abdul Razak this evening evaded questions on leaders involved in controversial matters, such as the National Feedlot Corporation scandal.

"Let us handle the matter," Najib said at a press conference after the end of the UMNO Annual General Assembly, when asked about calls by UMNO delegates for action against controversial leaders. "We know how to handle the issue," was the Prime Minister's curt reply.

To questions on the need to resolve doubts faced by the voters from possible controversial issues rising in the coming election, he said, "we will try to resolve any doubts they have. If there is anything to be explained, we will do so. That is why we may take some time to explain the matter and think of the best ways to restore the confidence of the voters in us."

With him at the press conference were his Deputy Muhyiddin Yassin, the three UMNO Vice-Presidents, Wanita chief Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin and Puteri chief Rosnah Shirlin.

Over the last three days of the UMNO AGM, many delegates urged party leaders not to be involved in controversial issues, such as the NFC, as members had a hard time explaining such matters to the people, especially with the general election approaching.

Even vocal Kinabatangan MP Bung Moktar Raden has called for Shahrizat, who is alleged to be involved in the NFC scandal as it is owned by her husband, to resign. This, Bung Mokhtar said, would allow the party to move forward in the election, without the need to carry excess baggage.

Majority of candidates will be new faces

Najib also gave a clear indication that the majority of the candidates who would be contesting in the next general election would be new faces. However, he did not want to give any clue as to the composition of the new candidates.

"This is internal, and I cannot disclose it as I have to discuss with the Deputy President (Muhyiddin) and other component party leaders.There will be new faces and new blood, as we want to project UMNO as a dynamic party that is willing to change", he said.

Najib also said that several UMNO elected representatives have met with him and said they were prepared not contest in the next general election. "I cannot disclose their names, but there are quite a number," he said.

Najib in his presidential address had stressed the need to field winnable candidates and this has been widely received by the party delegates and senior party leaders, who echoed the sentiment during the five-day assembly.

Fate of incumbents depends on their performance

As to the fate of the incumbents, Najib said this would depend on their performance as elected representatives.

"If their performance or rating is good, there is a good chance of keeping them. I cannot say they will remain after two or three terms, but whether they are winnable candidates or not."

He said the next general election would be a stiff test, but the unity, and strength of the party, along with the commitment of the members and their confidence, UMNO and the BN would be successful in facing any adversity.

As to whether there was a need to give advance notice to incumbents on whether they have been chosen again or not, Najib said this could not be too soon or too late.

"At the last minute, it may be a problem, but too early too will not be appropriate." Asked what election result he was looking for, Najib said what was important was a strong government, whether with a simple majority or two-thirds of the House.

'Baiah' a pledge not to sabotage party

As to the bai'ah (pledge), he said it was a pledge that “we will not sabotage the party” and he hoped that this would be so.

On the chances of wresting back states held by Pakatan, Najib said UMNO was confident of winning them back, but it would not underrate the Opposition. "It can be a mistake if we underrate them. What is needed is to prepare our machinery well," he said.

Asked whether he and Muhyiddin would tour the country following the end of the UMNO AGM, he said he and his deputy have already started on this. "Maybe we will round the country again," he said.

Parting Advice from UMNO President

Najib's parting advice to UMNO members was that he hoped they would accept the new faces selected, as when the time came, and that the persons replaced would give way nobly. "What is important is the support of the party to ensure victory."

Exclusive Interview With PM: An Epilogue

Some said that we are going to miss Pak Lah once he steps down. To be honest, I was having such a feeling right after the interview ended, even though he has not step down at the moment.

In any case, he is a good man. It is rare among politicians. This is also our first impression of him: gentle, moderate and honest. Otherwise, the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition would not gain 92% of the parliamentary seats in the 2004 general elections.

The people used to have high expectations of him, hoping that he could lead the country to change. But the 2008 general election results were the other way round. What are the problems?

Why he did not fully launched the reform when he was popular? Why he has to bear the consequences after the election to retire early?

Nothing can be done if Umno remains unchanged

Perhaps, his does not get the needed support from within the party like he does among the public. If he fails to control Umno, he can change nothing; if Umno remains unchanged, nothing can be done.

However, many are sharing the same thought with me. He should look pass Umno and go to the people. The people would back him and the result would be different.

However, all are now in past tense and Pak Lah must end his term of office early.

He wishes to speed up the completion of a number of commitments he made before he steps down. The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) bills presented by him were passed in a very short period of time. It shows that he can still be dynamic.

The historical appraisal will be as well different.

He has to present the Special Complaints Commission (SCC) bill and call for the BN Supreme Council to restructure BN within the time left before his retirement. Meanwhile, he also has to improve racial elations and promote religious understanding.

Pak Lah will have more space to develop his ideas after getting rid of the party elections and interests. If he uses the past few years to complete these huge tasks, it would surely a different situation today.

When asked which were his most successful and unsuccessful efforts, he said he does not want to make a conclusion yet.

He added that he allows views from different people so that he can listen and observe before making any decision when dealing with a problem.

He thinks it is unfair of the public to fault his way of dealing with problems which sees it as his weakness.

Pak Lah is optimistic

Pak Lah's strengths and weaknesses have unexpectedly contributed to the rise of Pakatan Rakyat. He believes that Umno can change and BN is able to win back support. However, he didn't sound convincing. He feels like optimistic to me.

Along the interview, he bluntly expressed his views on some sensitive issues, as well as some inside stories. However, he thinks it is not the time to reveal them.

When we were still talking after the 45-minute interview ran over time for 80 minutes, his lunch arrived. A simple fried noodle and Indian rojak, which reflects his simplicity.

Just at that time, Datin Seri Jeanne Abdullah returned home and Pak Lah looked happy and contented.

I really scold Pak Lah This Time

11.15 p.m last night, the defending world heavyweight champion Pak Lah has knocked out Tun M outside of the ring, after shutting himself quiet for a very long period of time. Pak Lah just can’t hold it anymore, and hit Mahathir’s chest, which was believed to had cause many problem and threats to his family and cronies.

He (Abdullah) lambasted Tun M for all foul words he gave in his blog, which I may regard that as a freedom of speech. He accused Tun M for not having any locus standi to speak for the sake of the party, since he is no longer in the party of UMNO. He was the President of UMNO for almost 23 years.

For God sake Pak Lah, he quits UMNO because of you. Because of he is losing confidence towards you, so do other Malaysian. But you just don’t get it.

He quits UMNO in good faith, to force you to stepdown from your throne. He did all this, is only to sign the people that you are not good, and it is for good that you are not good. He wanted to show to the people that he has committed a very big sin, since he appointed you to be his successor 5 years ago.

But last night match, reflect a very huge embarrassment to you and your family. You said that “I will be ready to go when my work is done, ‘’ - what is that homework basically? could you please disclose the public on what is your work? I see nothing in this 5 years. But I’ve seen a lot of works done by Tun M in his 22 years of legacy and yet you tell this person to shut his mouth and stop talking about UMNO?

Dearest Pak Lah. Show some respect to your “sir”. At least, a couple of salute to this statesman. He built this country. What have you done to claim your title over here? I support Gerakan’s motion to pick you as the “father of democracy”. Yeah right. Did you know that people are laughing at you day by day and everynight they enjoyed? Did you know that they disgust you everytime they fill up the fuel at the petrol station? Did you know that they use your face at the newspaper to wrap nasi lemak without having any feelings? Did you know that they ask their children to switch off the TV everytime they see you broadcasting live?

Did you know all that? You are the most poor Prime Minister Malaysia ever have. So please, speak with right tone in right place. I am strongly agree with Tun M’s statement that we should proceed with the election by the end of this year. Why wait until March next year? To tell the future generation that you are able to stand the heat up to a year since march 2008?

You got the democracy title because you let the democracy growth very nice and kindly. You caused the massive defeat to the BN over the last couple of months, and raised up many things uncontrolled. Thanks to you Pak Lah, for all racial disharmony and political instability. Thanks to you, we are now better living. Thanks to you, the people now show disrespect over other races, and yes! They made it to top, discussing sensitive issues, forcing the abolishment of the laws and constitution, and dishonour the Royalty. Thanks to you Pak Lah, the father of democracy!

What a pathetic Prime Minister!
